Meal Preparation

Healthy, nutritious, and delicious meals for you or your loved one. Our caregivers understand the importance of a healthy diet for seniors, and of preparing delicious foods that best suit your loved one’s needs.

Preparing healthy and nutritional meals is an important service we provide here at Bethel Homecare Agency. There are times when elderly or disabled individuals are not able to properly prepare meals themselves, or they may simply lack the strength or desire to eat. With our in-home caregivers, you no longer have to worry whether or not your loved one is getting the proper nutrition they so desperately need.

1. Meal Planning
We try to balance needs with requirements and are happy to work with the family and client to develop an appetizing meal plan that meets the client’s specific dietary needs.
2. Meal Preparation
Our caregivers can prepare meals for our clients or simply provide them, and you, with the peace of mind of safe supervision.
3. Monitor Caloric Intake and Nutrition
We can assist seniors with eating nutrient-dense meals and healthy snacks as well as monitoring their calorie and water intake to make sure that they are eating and drinking sufficiently throughout the day.
4. Grocery Shopping
Our caregivers can assist by driving and accompanying clients to the grocery store to assist them while shopping or take care of the shopping for them.
5. Companionship at Meals
Bethel Homecare Agency can also provide seniors with enjoyable companionship during meal times in order to create an environment that encourages them to eat and enjoy their meals.
6. Washing Dishes & Tidying the Kitchen
We are happy to help seniors tidy up after meals by assisting with washing the dishes and wiping down counters and other cooking surfaces to ensure a clean and safe kitchen environment.

Benefits Meal Planning and Preparation

At Bethel Homecare Agency, we understand that for some, preparing their own meals may even become dangerous. This can happen with elderly individuals suffering from dementia or Alzheimer’s Disease. Difficulty with planning and preparing meals can also stem from a lack of confidence due to a previous bad experience in the kitchen where they may have forgotten to turn off the stove or may have accidentally injured themselves.

Our caregivers can prepare meals for them or simply provide them, and you, with the peace of mind of safe supervision.
